Back Testing Forex Apocalypse

Just completed a backtest for the Forex Apocalypse Robot. The data used for the backtest is 1M data from Metaquotes. Forex Apocalypse is trading on the 30M time frame and the Model used is “Every Tick”. The resulting modeling quality is 90% according to the MT4 software. The starting balance is $10,000 and the period tested is from the beginning of 2008 until the present.

Backtests are just indicative of likely performance and while the Forex Apocalypse robot didn’t hit its profit targets in the backtests or have the much hyped 100% win rate, it did still produce a respectable gain overall. Backtest data is far from perfect as it is a normalized and smoothed faxcimilly of the ticks that real live trading is based on. So the best that can be said here is that the results are promising.
